We study the structural biology of bacterial virulence proteins. Methods used include: bacterial genetics, site-directed mutagenesis, PCR, gene expression systems, protein purification, crystal growth, bioinformatics, x-ray crystallography and TEM.
The food system, which includes all of the steps involved in producing food and getting it to our plates, has become increasingly complex. "Food system detectives" are needed to uncover recent changes and present them a visual format.
